Beginning with the selection of staff and progressing to training, supervision and management, aquatic facilities will be able to enhance their operations. CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS DEBRIEFING FOR AQUATIC FACILITIES

 A critical incident is an emergency involving a serious injury or death. A CIS Debriefing is a discussion of facts and feelings surrounding one or more stressful events. It may deal with acute, delayed or cumulative stress from a single stressor or multiple stressors. It provides education about normal and abnormal stress responses and about methods for identifying and practicing coping strategies.
